Lots of stuff!

It's been crazy around here lately. So much going on. First I want to congratulate my friends Mary and Ryan for having a beautiful baby girl. She is quite a little doll and everyone seems happy and healthy. Congrats!!!!

We had James' baptism over the weekend and boy was he quite the star of the show. There were 5 baptisms at the Church and he was the only one that didn't cry when he was being baptized. I think he thought he was getting his bath as he just let the minister do what he needed to do. Afterwards at brunch, he made everyone laugh including himself. I want to thank James' Godparents, Fannie and Judith for making it a wonderful day. Also, thank you to everyone else who came to attend his big day. We appreciate it.

James has also reached his 6 months. He is so involved in everything now. He eats EVERYTHING!!! And, now he is starting to eat fruits in chunks as he is learning to chew. He is sleeping through the night now without a feed of about 10 hours. It's making things easier for us. He loves his exersaucer and Mommy playing with him, as well as others. He is such a good baby and we love him dearly.

It's so cute when we put a pickle in his mouth. The look on his face is pricesless. Rob managed to get this pic the other day. We couldn't stop laughing. Hope everyone is doing well!!

Can you believe this??

I heard today on the news that we are using 17 million plastic bags a day. That's 80 bags per second. Wow!! I was completely astonished. The reporter had also stated that it takes 1000 years to decompose completely. These are truly amazing facts.

The timing couldn't have been more perfect when I heard this on the radio and I was on my way to the grocery store. Well as soon as I walked in I saw that they had their reusable bags 5 for $5. I bought 5 and said good-bye to grocery plastic bags. We have to think of the future of our children and grandchildren. And even though I may have just changed something by just a minuscule, I feel better about what I did today.

So do your part to save our environment!
